Southern Andaman

No dive was the same, no day was missing excitement, I personally had to hold the reg in my mouth most of the time because I was so gob smacked by the beauty of it all.

About

Hin Daeng, Hin Muang, Koh Haa Yai, Koh Haa Neua, Klet Kaew, Koh Bida Nok, Koh Bida Nai, Palong Wall and more dive sites of the Southern Andaman are famous because you can see anything and everything the oceans have to offer. Many of these sites are also seldom visited by divers or liveaboards and that means the marine life is in pristine condition and there are fish absolutely everywhere you turn.

Most importantly, these sites are right up there with the best in the world when it comes to spotting Whale Sharks and Manta Rays. There are no guarantees, but with a bit of luck (and there are many people who have had a “bit of luck” over the years) you too will have an unforgettable dive story to take home.

We have over 20 luxury liveaboard trips hitting the Southern Andaman Islands this July to September, so check out the schedule and book the best dives of your life!

It is true that luxury liveaboard diving around Phuket has become so famous because of the world class Similan and Surin Islands, however, Hin Daeng and Hin Muang are not to be overlooked. As well as these two fantastic sites, the trip also includes dives at the famous Phi Phi islands and the beautiful Koh Haa. Those who are interested in cavern diving will be thrilled to hear that both Koh Phi Phi and Koh Haa have each got a fantastic cavern dive, well within the limits of recreational diving.

At Koh Haa especially, the famous cathedral and chimney caverns will forever be engrained into your memory, such is their beauty. The experience is equally spectacular above water as you cruise through the emerald green lagoons, surrounded by limestone and granite islands that make up the Southern Andaman. However, as magical as the diving and scenery is around Koh Phi Phi and Koh Haa, nothing can prepare you for the mystique of Hin Daeng and Hin Muang.

Situated to the south east of Phuket, surrounded by nothing except the vastness of the Andaman Sea, lie the famous Hin Daeng and Hin Muang pinnacles, as well as the Koh Haa archipelago and the Phi Phi Marine Sanctuary. Anyone who is familiar with diving in South East Asia or Thailand will definitely have heard of these rarely visited dive sites and if not, should be thinking about exploring them.

Southern Andaman trips include Koh Phi Phi dive sites, like the Kled Gaew wreck dive, a 50 metre 400 tonne Norwegian gun ship sunk purposefully in 25 metres of water for easy access. We also visit Koh Hin Bida, a rarely visited site where Leopard sharks are known to congregate in heavy numbers thanks to the nice sandy edges.
